If you have turned on ESPN any time in the last few years, you may recognize Sage Steele. Steele is currently one of the hosts of ESPN’s SportsCenter. One Day At Disney follows Steele around and pulls back the curtain on what a day as a ESPN sportscaster looks like. In this short, you will see what it takes to write and deliver the script for the daily sports news.
The District Decision
One Day At Disney took a step back in this episode. I thought Steele did a great job demonstrating what an average day looks like for her at ESPN. From writing a script to delivering breaking news, a lot more goes into Steele’s job than most would imagine. Like in the first episode, the presentation of the information again misses the mark for me. The episode’s run time is only 9 minutes long but really did feel longer.
Final Grade: The District Decision for One Day At Disney: Sage Steele is that the film is Niche with a final grade of C.
The District Decision Grading Scale: Skip It (not worth the watch), Niche (worth the watch for those interested in the topic), Background Noise (worth having on while doing other activities), Worth It (worth your time), Classic (one of the best examples of the documentary genre).
